Arsenal: Hector Bellerin Exit Missing One Huge Factor
Arsenal has a truly magnificent piece of footballing ability in Hector Bellerin so naturally, other teams want him. But his exit lacks one thing.
Anytime you have an excessively talented player, young or old, other teams are going to be nipping at his heels. Arsenal are no strangers to that, especially during the debt years when they were selling players left and right.

Now, Alexis Sanchez and Hector Bellerin are at the center of massive exit rumors. Bypassing the first name, we are here to focus on the second – young Hector. Who, at 21 years old, has solidified himself as the next great right back (he might already be that).
However, Barcelona, the vultures that they are, are always watching and given that it was them who sold Bellerin in the first place, they want him back.
Barca vice-president Jordi Mestre arrogantly claimed that Bellerin can follow in the footsteps of Cesc Fabregas, despite the fact that Bellerin has chimed in time and again saying that this was not possible. He loves Arsenal, is indebted to Wenger and will not leave.

Which brings me to my point. There can be as many exit rumors as you want, but Bellerin’s rumored exit is missing one huge factor – a will to leave. The young Spaniard has embedded himself in the Arsenal starting XI as well as in our hearts as supporters. He isn’t going anywhere and so long as that is the case, we have nothing to worry about.
It’s the same reason why I see no cause to be alarmed at Alexis wanting a release clause. As long as we don’t give him a reason to want to leave, he won’t leave. Arsenal actually does encourage that family feel, especially lately, where it is hard to leave.
More from Pain in the Arsenal
Bellerin did something truly special at Arsenal. It is very hard for a young player to pip in and steal a veteran’s position, especially under Arsene Wenger. Just look at how hard it’s been for Xhaka to take a midfield role.
Faith and loyalty is everything, so when Bellerin took over for an injured Debuchy, it seemed like nothing more than a temporary thing. Only he did so well that he convinced Wenger to bench the newly-purchased Frenchman. He was 19 at the time.
That is quite simply unheard of. Wenger saw what he had in Bellerin and, rather uncharacteristically, made a switch in favor of a teenager and it has paid off massively.

Hector Bellerin isn’t leaving. I don’t know why me telling you this would convince you, but the man himself has said it over and over. There is no will to leave. So unless Wenger wants to cash in on Bellerin – which he doesn’t – then we have nothing to worry about.
