Jozy Altidore scored Toronto FC's first two goals of the season Friday night in a 3-1 victory over Real Salt Lake at BMO Field.

Defending MLS Cup champion Toronto opened the 2018 campaign with a pair of shutout losses but struck first against RSL (1-2-1) on Altidore's penalty kick in the 23rd minute. Altidore scored again in the 45th before Salt Lake pulled to within one on Corey Baird's first MLS goal in the 82nd minute.

Toronto (1-2-0) then put the match away when Tosaint Ricketts scored in injury time.
