Albion ace Odemwingie in dreamland
The Nigeria international completed a switch to The Hawthorns from Russian giants Lokomotiv Moscow back in August. At 29 years of age, and with almost 50 caps to his name, the Baggies felt his experience could aid them in their quest to secure Premier League survival. Odemwingie has not let them down, with his three goals in September taking him to the Player of the Month award and West Brom to sixth place in the table. The African ace admits he could not have wished for a better start to his time in England, with a dream move exceeding his expectations. "I'm living my dream," Odemwingie said in the Birmingham Mail. "I've been looking forward to Premier League action for many years. "West Brom were recommended to me by other people and I'm happy I made that move. "I was told I could come here and play football. There has been no politics, no issues to worry about. I'm enjoying it." Odemwingie is also enjoying being utilised as an out-and-out striker as, despite being capable of filling a wider role, he feels he is at his best when deployed down the middle. "I feel I can bring better results playing up top because I can score goals when I'm closer to the goal," he added. "I'm happier up front and that's where I like to play but I'm ready to play where the manager wants. "Sometimes I need to adapt my role in the team and I'm happy to do that."
