Ajax-Feyenoord postponed because of snow

The Dutch football association has postponed the league classic between archrivals Ajax and Feyenoord because of heavy snowfall that has thrown road and rail traffic into chaos.

A win would have taken Ajax level on points - at least briefly - with league leader PSV Eindhoven, which is scheduled to play Roda JC Kerkrade later Sunday.

The Ajax-Feyenoord match will now be played Jan. 19.

The match between VVV-Venlo and FC Utrecht also was postponed because of an unplayable pitch. On Friday, defending league champion FC Twente's clash with Heracles Almelo also was postponed.
