Young Bucks Tracker: March 31 edition

With two-thirds of the roster born after 1990, the Milwaukee Bucks are a young, growing team. Every Thursday for the rest of the season, FOX Sports Wisconsin will take a closer look at the players that are 25 years old and younger (for the most part, those still in their first four NBA seasons), measuring, highlighting and evaluating their progress.

This is the 19th edition of the 2015-16 Young Bucks Tracker.

A glossary of the advanced statistics used for season totals:

TS% -- True Shooting Percentage: A measure of shooting efficiency that takes into account 2-point field goals, 3-point field goals, and free throws.

USG% -- Usage Percentage: An estimate of the percentage of team plays used by a player while he was on the floor.

ORtg -- Offensive Rating: An estimate of points produced per 100 possessions.

DRtg -- Defensive Rating: An estimate of points allowed per 100 possessions.

VORP -- Value over Replacement Player: A box score estimate of the points per 100 TEAM possessions that a player contributed above a replacement-level (-2.0) player, translated to an average team and prorated to an 82-game season.

GIANNIS ANTETOKOUNMPO (Age 21, third season)

Statistical season averages (last week): 16.6 points (9.7), 7.6 rebounds (4.3), 4.0 assists (3.7), 1.2 steals (1.0), 1.4 blocks (1.3), 35.2 minutes (32.7), 50.4 FG% (39.3), 19.5 3PT% (25.0).

Advanced stats, season: 18.4 PER, 56.0 percent TS%, 22.1 percent USG%, 108 ORtg, 106 DRtg, 2.6 VORP.

Notable: Antetokounmpo, the Bucks' 2016-17 point guard per coach Jason Kidd, struggled scoring this past week and was not nearly his triple-double self of February. He will need to work on his shot this offseason to help him maximize his driving effectiveness.

TYLER ENNIS (Age 21, second season)

Statistical season averages (last week): 3.7 points (8.7), 1.3 rebounds (3.3), 1.6 assists (4.7), 0.4 steals (0.3), 0.0 blocks (0.0), 11.0 minutes (21.7), 43.0 FG% (45.8), 34.5 3PT% (14.3).

Advanced stats, season: 10.8 PER, 48.9 percent TS%, 18.5 percent USG%, 99 ORtg, 111 DRtg, -0.4 VORP.

Notable: Ennis dished 12 assists in 28:29 of action in the loss to Charlotte this past week. He followed it up with 10 points in 22:43 in the win over Phoenix.

JOHN HENSON (Age 25, fourth season)

Statistical season averages (last week): 7.1 points (15.3), 3.9 rebounds (7.7), 0.9 assists (1.0), 0.3 steals (0.7), 2.0 blocks (3.3), 17.0 minutes (24.7), 58.7 FG% (59.8), n/a 3PT% (n/a).

Advanced stats, season: 19.8 PER, 60.4 percent TS%, 18.8 percent USG%, 111 ORtg, 105 DRtg, 0.9 VORP.

Notable: Henson scored 17, 19 and 10 points in the three games this past week in what was arguably his most productive week of the season. He played at least 23:24 each night and blocked at least three shots every game.

DAMIEN INGLIS (Age 20, first season)

Statistical season averages (last week): 1.6 points (0.0), 1.6 rebounds (1.0), 0.4 assists (1.0), 0.2 steals (0.0), 0.2 blocks (0.0), 6.6 minutes (6.0), 34.6 FG% (0.0), 10.0 3PT% (0.0).

Advanced stats, season: 8.1 PER, 44.0 percent TS%, 15.1 percent USG%, 86 ORtg, 106 DRtg, -0.1 VORP.

Notable: Inglis played in just one game this past week, after he had seven action in seven straight games before that. He wasn't all that effective, going 0 for 2 in 5:52 against the Hornets.

KHRIS MIDDLETON (Age 24, fourth season)

Statistical season averages (last week): 18.1 points (16.3), 3.8 rebounds (4.0), 4.2 assists (2.7), 1.6 steals (0.3), 0.2 blocks (0.3), 36.4 minutes (31.7), 43.8 FG% (50.0), 40.1 3PT% (36.4).

Advanced stats, season: 16.5 PER, 55.6 percent TS%, 22.9 percent USG%, 109 ORtg, 110 DRtg, 1.7 VORP.

Notable: Middleton scored 26 in the win over Phoenix but has otherwise scored below his season average in six of his past seven eight games. He played below his season average in minutes for a second straight week so he could be getting fatigued down the stretch.

JOHNNY O'BRYANT (Age 22, second season)

Statistical season averages (last week): 2.7 points (2.0), 2.5 rebounds (2.0), 0.5 assists (0.0), 0.3 steals (0.0), 0.1 blocks (0.0), 12.6 minutes (6.0), 38.3 FG% (25.0), 1.000 3PT% (N/A).

Advanced stats, season: 6.5 PER, 41.3 percent TS%, 13.6 percent USG%, 92 ORtg, 111 DRtg, -0.8 VORP.

Notable: O'Bryant played in just one game this past week and hasn't played more than six minutes since March 15. He appears headed for a continued minor role with Henson's resurgence.

JABARI PARKER (Age 21, second season)

Statistical season averages (last week): 13.4 points (18.3), 5.1 rebounds (6.7), 1.6 assists (2.7), 0.9 steals (1.7), 0.4 blocks (0.0), 31.2 minutes (37.0), 49.2 FG% (48.8), 29.2 3PT% (25.0).

Advanced stats, season: 14.5 PER, 53.3 percent TS%, 20.3 percent USG%, 106 ORtg, 111 DRtg, -0.2 VORP.

Notable: Parker averaged 37 minutes per game this past week, which is good news for a young man completing his first full season. He took a lot of shots (41) but was consistent shooting the ball and had an above-average week on the glass, too.

RASHAD VAUGHN (Age 19, first season)

Statistical season averages (last week): 2.5 points (6.5), 1.1 rebounds (1.0), 0.5 assists (1.5), 0.3 steals (1.5), 0.1 blocks (0.5), 12.1 minutes (24.0), 29.6 FG% (38.5), 30.4 3PT% (50.0).

Advanced stats, season: 3.4 PER, 39.6 percent TS%, 13.1 percent USG%, 82 ORtg, 112 DRtg, -0.9 VORP.

Notable: Vaughn was a DNP against Atlanta on Friday but played at least 20 minutes in the final two games of the week and scored eight points against the Suns. He was in the game toward the very end, and made a late 3 that sealed the win.
