Yadi is a unanimous choice on All-WBC Team
Cardinals catcher Yadier Molina again came up short in his quest to bring the World Baseball Classic championship to his native Puerto Rico, but it wasn't for a lack of trying. In fact, he was a primary reason Puerto Rico won seven straight games before falling to the United States 8-0 in the championship game.
Molina's accomplishments were recognized when he was named a unanimous choice for the All-World Baseball Classic Team. It was the second time he has been so honored, previously in 2013, when Puerto Rico also finished as the tournament's runner-up.
In addition to his customary stellar work behind the plate, Molina batted .333 with two home runs and six RBIs.
