Woman's 1871 Boston Red Stockings card collection valued at $1M

If you've ever been into baseball cards, you have a dream that one day your collection will be worth some money.

One woman is currently living that dream, although she wasn't a collector herself.

Leila Dunbar, a New York resident, inherited a bunch of 1871-72 Boston Red Stocking cards and letters from her great-great-grandmother and recently had them appraised on "Antiques Roadshow."

The collection ended up being valued at least $1 million, one of the highest totals in the PBS show's 19-year history.

"Holy smokes!" the woman said upon discovering the archive's value. "I guess I better put it in a bank vault."
