Wolves recall Jones from NBA D-League
Minnesota native Tyus Jones is headed back to Target Center.
The Timberwolves announced Tuesday that the team has recalled the former first-round pick from the Idaho Stampede of the NBA Development League.
Jones averaged 24.7 points, 3.9 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 1.5 steals and 35.2 minutes through six games in the D-League, and rejoins a Wolves squad that has won just three of its last 10 games.
In his single season at Duke, Jones averaged 11.8 points per game, as well as 5.6 assists, 3.5 rebounds and 1.5 steals en route to a national championship, but has yet to see significant minutes on a Wolves squad that already features several talented guards.
