Wolves game breaks ratings record

The Minnesota Timberwolves vs. Denver Nuggets broadcast Wednesday night on FOX Sports North PLUS was the highest-rated Wolves game ever on the regional sports network.



The matchup against the Nuggets generated a 7.5 household rating in the Minneapolis/St. Paul Designated Market Area, according to Nielsen Media Research, peaking at a 13.1. In the Minneapolis/St. Paul market, 17,280 households represent one rating point. That means nearly 226,600 households in the Twin Cities tuned in for Wednesday evening’s game.

The previous high was a 6.5 household rating, set on April 14, 2004.

Not only were television ratings impressive, but also FOX Sports North saw four times as many streamers on FOX Sports GO, with over 20,000 subscribers logging on to view the game.

The team wrapped up the 2017-18 season with a 2.6 average household rating, a 78 percent increase in viewership year-over-year and the highest-rated season since 2011-12.
