Wisconsin to face Tennessee in Maui Invitational

The Wisconsin men's basketball team will play Tennessee in the opening round of the 2016 Maui Invitational on Nov. 21.

The winner will play either Georgetown or Oregon the next day.

Tennessee finished 15-19 and 6-12 in the Southeastern Conference this past season, its first under coach Rick Barnes. The Volunteers will have just three upperclassmen on their roster for the 2016-17 season.

The Badgers last played Tennessee in 2001, earning a 65-62 win at the Kohl Center in Bo Ryan's first season.

The 33rd annual Maui Imitational features four teams from the 2016 NCAA tournament, including two top seeds in North Carolina and Oregon. This year's field also includes Georgetown, Oklahoma State, UConn and host Chaminade.
