WIAA Division 2: Homestead rumbles past Waukesha West 28-12
Homestead topped Waukesha West 28-12 on Friday in the WIAA Division 2 championship game at Camp Randall Stadium, churning out 181 rushing yards on a whopping 52 attempts.
Highlanders quarterback Eric Zoeller completed just four passes on six attempts for 72 yards and one touchdown, while running back Matt Winters carried the ball a team-high 30 times for 98 yards and two touchdowns.
Zoeller made plays with his legs as well, scampering for 66 yards and one touchdown.
Meanwhile, Wolverines quarterback Connor Blount threw for 164 yards on 21 attempts, while rushing for 17 yards and a touchdown.
