While Warriors celebrate, new Pelicans coach Alvin Gentry sends message to Anthony Davis
Alvin Gentry hasn't taken over all the responsibilities of head coach of the New Orleans Pelicans yet given that he's been a little busy helping the Golden State Warriors win their first NBA Championship in 40 years as the team's associate head coach.
Well, with the Warriors' win, the 2014-15 season is officially in the books, and that also means, Gentry is officially a New Orleans Pelican.
While cameras rolled in the Warriors' locker room, Gentry made a point to send a special message out to the Pelicans' star player.
"AD. AD. We're going to be right back here," he said before Steve Kerr could cut him off.
Yesterday we mentioned how Gentry would be bringing old-man hops to NOLA, and now, we know he'll also be bringing an NBA title...well, title experience.
