WhatIfSports World Series prediction update: Cubs are down, but not out
The Cleveland Indians are just one win away from a World Series championship following a 7-1 victory in Game 4. The Indians' first chance to vanquish the Chicago Cubs comes tonight.
WhatIfSports.com used its MLB simulation engine to determine how likely the Indians are to take the crown -- and whether or not the Cubs still have a fighting chance. Check out the results from 101 simulations of Game 5 onward:

Cleveland is now firmly in control, but a championship is no sure thing. Chicago forced a Game 7 in 40.6 percent of simulations, winning 68.3 percent of the time when the rubber match occurred.
The Indians won Game 5 in almost 25 percent of simulations. The most common scenario predicts the Indians to finish off the Cubs in Game 6, which occurred in 34.7 percent of simulations.
