WhatIfSports NFL Week 14 predictions: Cardinals win seventh straight game

Each Tuesday, WhatIfSports.com's NFL simulation engine generates predictions and box scores for every NFL game for the coming week. Our highly sophisticated algorithms simulate every play of every game to produce each team's likelihood to win. Each matchup is simulated 501 times.

To account for injuries and roster moves announced late in the week, we will be re-simulating games on Thursdays through the season.

Note: Our predictions use the latest available team and player information, while NFL SimMatchup includes all players that were or will be available at any point during the 2015 season so that theoretical and "what if" scenarios can be simulated.

Week 13 Review

For the second straight week, our NFL simulation engine went 10-6 in picking games straight up. The engine fared pretty well against the spread as well, going 8-5 in eligible games.

Nailed It: In the battle for New York, our NFL simulation engine predicted that the Jets would narrowly defeat the Giants by an average score of 23-22. The actual final? Jets 23, Giants 20

Wide Right: Our predictions had the Minnesota Vikings taking care of business at home against the Seahawks by an average score of 24-20. Whoops. Despite what Cordarelle Patterson's celebrations would lead you to believe, the Seahawks blasted the Vikings 38-7 in a laugher.

Week 14 Game to Watch

Vikings at Cardinals: Minnesota has some work to do in order to prove it’s a legitimate contender and capable of holding onto a playoff spot in the NFC North. The Vikings will face a tough test traveling to Arizona, where our engine predicts the Cardinals will win 60.9 percent of the time

Week 14 Upset Pick

49ers (+1.5) over Browns: The 49ers are coming off an upset of the Bears, and the Browns are reeling from being blown out. Our engine has this as a tight game, but is predicting the 49ers to pull off the road upset 53.4 percent of the time

Fantasy Radar

Fantasy Start -- David Johnson, ARI: Our predictions have the Cardinals running back putting up RB1 type numbers yet again as he takes over for Chris Johnson in one of the league's best offenses.

Fantasy Sit -- Torrey Smith, SF: He caught a game-winning touchdown pass last week, but our engine doesn't love his chances of having another big day. Smith is projected to score just 6.1 fantasy points.

Fantasy Add -- DeVante Parker, MIA: After scoring a touchdown last week, our engine likes Parker to continue to have fantasy relevance this week with a solid outing against the Giants secondary.
