WhatIfSports NFL Week 12 predictions: Pats handle Broncos' D

Each Tuesday, WhatIfSports.com's NFL simulation engine generates predictions and box scores for every NFL game for the coming week. Our highly sophisticated algorithms simulate every play of every game to produce each team's likelihood to win. Each matchup is simulated 501 times.

To account for injuries and roster moves announced late in the week, we will be re-simulating games on Thursdays through the season.

Note: Our predictions use the latest available team and player information, while NFL SimMatchup includes all players that were or will be available at any point during the 2015 season so that theoretical and "what if" scenarios can be simulated.

Week 11 in Review

Our NFL simulation engine got back on track in Week 11, going 8-6 straight up. For the sixth straight week, the engine also went .500 or better against the spread, going 5-4 this week.

Nailed It: Despite the Jets being favored to win, we predicted the Texans would eke out a victory by an average score of 20-19. The actual final? Texans 24, Jets 17

Wide Right: The Lions tripped us up again this week. Our engine predicted the Raiders to beat the Lions 70.3 percent of the time, but instead, the Lions won 18-13 in a surprisingly low-scoring battle.

Week 12 Game to Watch

Patriots at Broncos: The Patriots will look to keep their undefeated season alive, but heading to Denver to take on an elite Broncos defense won't make things easy. Despite the hostile environment, our NFL simulation engine has the Patriots remaining undefeated and winning by an average score of 23-18

Week 12 Upset Pick

Vikings (+2.5) over Falcons: The Falcons have been seriously struggling as of late, but they are still favored at home against the Vikings. Our engine doesn't think that's the right call, as we have the Vikings pulling off the upset 54.9 percent of the time in a game with serious playoff implications.

Fantasy Radar

Fantasy Start -- DeSean Jackson, WAS: He's back, and our engine likes his chances of torching a bad Giants secondary. Jackson is projected to be eighth highest scoring receiver in Week 12, scoring 10.9 fantasy points.

Fantasy Sit -- C.J. Anderson, DEN: Our predictions have the Broncos riding Ronnie Hillman over C.J. Anderson, which doesn't bode well for his fantasy production. Anderson is projected to score just 6.5 fantasy points.

Fantasy Add -- Javorius Allen, BAL: If he's available in your league, go grab him. With Justin Forsett out for the season, our engine has Allen listed as fantasy's top-scoring running back against a Browns team that can't stop the run.
