The statistical inputs to the thousands of college football simulations are based on rigorous analysis of each team's roster, depth charts and statistically based player rankings. Roster modifications are made in cases of injury or suspension and those players are removed from their team's game simulation for that week.

Game of the Week: Arizona vs. Oregon

Two months ago, the Arizona Wildcats handed the Oregon Ducks their only loss of the season, 31-24 in Eugene. This Friday the two teams meet again in the 2014 Pac-12 Championship game.

Rich Rodriguez's defense has vastly improved throughout the course of the season. They allowed 28 points per game in their first seven games of the season, but have shaved nearly a touchdown off that average over their last five games - allowing 21.6 points per game, while scoring 31.2 during that same stretch.

Although it pales in comparison to the offensive output of the Ducks, the Wildcats are pretty balanced via the run and pass. Quarterback Anu Solomon is completing 58 percent of his passes with 27 touchdowns and only seven interceptions on the season. Running back Nick Wilson paces the rush attack with 204 carries for 1,263 yards (6.2 YPR) and a team-high 15 touchdowns. Cayleb Jones leads all Arizona receivers with 831 yards and eight touchdowns. As a whole, the Arizona offense is averaging over 290 passing and nearly 190 rushing yards per contest.

Since their loss to the Wildcats in early October, the Ducks are averaging 47.5 points per game and allowing only 23.2 points per game. Their season-average of 46 points per game ranks fourth in the nation.

Over the last month (four games), Heisman Trophy candidate Marcus Mariota has thrown 12 touchdown passes with one interception while rushing for 311 yards with six more scores. Freshman running back Royce Freeman - who has racked up 1,185 yards and has 16 scores on the season - is averaging 109 yards with three touchdowns over last four games.

We simulated the Pac-12 Championship 101 times and the computers like Oregon to win 53 percent of the time by an average score of 27-25.
