Westbrook, Adams show off epic Halloween costumes

The NBA season gets underway next weekend, which means most players won't have time to go trick-or-treating.

The Oklahoma City Thunder got into the Halloween spirit a little early on Saturday and, luckily, someone brought a camera.

Thunder center Steven Adams tweeted out a picture of himself and guard Russell Westbrook Saturday night, showing off their epic costumes.

Adams choose a Halloween standard...The Joker.

And while he could have gone with any variation of the iconic character ... Cesar Romero from the 1966 TV series or Jack Nicholson from Tim Burton's film ... Adams went with the Heath Ledger version from "The Dark Knight."

Not the iconic purple trench coat version ... nope ... he went with the nurse outfit.

But topping Adams might have been Westbrook who went dressed as his New Zealand teammate.

Earlier this week, Westbrook said in an interview that he had never shaved -- which makes the bushy mustache and beard even funnier.  Westbrook even matched the tattoos on Adams' right arm.

Here's hoping the Thunder's season is as fun as their Halloween party looked.
