Welcome to the Tribe: Indians rookies become cheerleaders

Oh, it looks like the Cleveland Indians have found themselves a cheerleader -- or four.

Photos surfaced on social media Sunday of Tribe rookie infielders Francisco Lindor and Giovanny Urshela, as well as pitchers Austin Adams and Cody Anderson in a different type of uniform for the team's fantasy football league.

Lindor, who's been a phenomenal addition to the team since being called up June, took the initiation in stride.

Fitting for his Sunday costume, Lindor's walk-up song has been the summer hit "Cheerleader" by Omi.

Last year's ritual also included costumes, though a bit more on the absurd side than those of this year.

The Indians embark on their final long road trip of the season Monday with a three-game series in Toronto before heading to Detroit and Chicago for three-game sets. With a record of 63-66, the Tribe is five games behind the Texas Rangers for the second American League Wild Card.
