Week 5 Fantasy Football Rankings

WEEK 5 FANTASY FOOTBALL RANKINGS

Week 5 Fantasy Football Rankings are in. Week 4 presented us with many interesting games and tons of interesting situations to analyze. The Carolina Panthers have been showing they are not the stalwart defense they were last year. Matt Ryan and Julio Jones showed us that they will put up points on said defenses.

Players are starting to establish themselves and we now have four existing weeks of data. Who has moved up and who has moved down the ladder?  Find out in my Week 5 Fantasy Football Rankings!

WEEK 5 QB RANKINGS

I moved Matt Ryan up from the 15th ranking to 10th. This may seem bold or even stupid. I back up this move by pointing out the fact that he is the absolutely destroying this season. Ryan has put up solid numbers every single week. Ryan is currently the leader for QB Fantasy Points.

The only thing keeping Ryan down in the rankings is his tough match up with the Broncos. The Broncos push Ryan to 10th in the rankings but I’m not feeling too bad about playing him this week.

Carlos Hyde plays my favorite team this week, the Arizona Cardinals. The Cardinals have not looked impressive thus far. Arizona has an amazing defense, it is their offense that has had struggles. Carson Palmer is injured and Drew Stanton is starting, this gives the 49ers a much larger chance of being in the game. The benefit of playing Carlos Hyde is that he ALWAYS gets touches. Hyde has had 73 rushes and 8 receptions in four games. With Hyde you know you will get something in terms of fantasy points.

WEEK 5 WR RANKINGS

Oct 3, 2016; Minneapolis, MN, USA; New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. (13) argues a call during the second quarter against the Minnesota Vikings at U.S. Bank Stadium. Mandatory Credit: Brace Hemmelgarn-USA TODAY Sports

Marvin Jones could be in for another big game against the Eagles. Matt Stafford is going to have to launch the ball around if the Lions want to win the game. The great thing about fantasy football is who wins does not impact who wins fantasy football. If the Eagles get a big lead on the Lions, Matt Stafford is going to have to try and catch up and throw the ball a lot. I believe Marvin Jones is in a good situation to succeed week in and week out.

WEEK 5 TE RANKINGS

Week 5 is going to be another exciting week of NFL action. I am expecting a big bounce back from Odell Beckham Jr. Tom Brady‘s return against the Browns should be interesting, maybe Gronk will find the endzone?  Good luck to all of you in your fantasy games this weekend!
