Watch: Heat-seeking baseball climbs up Mike Napoli's leg, knocks helmet off his head

During the first inning of Wednesday's Rangers-Mariners game, a Mike Montgomery breaking ball into the dirt apparently decided it has some beef with Rangers first baseban Mike Napoli. Also, physics happened.

Montgomery's pitch kissed the ground a few inches before Napoli, bounced against his ankle then went flying upward at a rate of speed fast enough that when it hit underneath the brim of Napoli's helmet, the lid went flying. And then Mariners catcher Mike Zunino got dinged with the flying helmet.

All in all, a pretty confusing way to get to first base.
