WATCH: Blind USC long-snapper Jake Olson takes the field for PAT against Western Michigan

The USC Trojans started off shaky at home to Western Michigan on Saturday, but, boy, did they finish strong.

Tied at 21 heading into the fourth quarter, the Trojans eventually ran away with the game by a score of 49-31, but it's the 49th point that many will be talking about after this game:

Long-snapper Jake Olson, who came to many people's attention when he took part in a USC spring game, lost his vision at age 12 as a result of retinal cancer. Joining the Trojans on a special scholarship last season after playing football at Orange Lutheran, Olson hoped to snap for USC in a competitive game at some point in his collegiate career.

After Marvell Tell took an interception to the house to give the Trojans a 48-31 lead with a little over three minutes to go, USC head coach Clay Helton called Olson's number. Crouched over the ball at the two-yard line, Olson delivered a spot-perfect snap that the USC kicker dully deposited through the uprights.

Coming off the field, Olson was met by numerous teammates in a celebration not usually reserved for a point after attempt, as the Trojan faithful in the stands roared in acknowledgment of the special moment.
