Votto, Lorenzen Power Reds to 9-2 Win Over Dodgers

CINCINNATI (AP) -- Joey Votto hit a three-run homer, relief pitcher Michael Lorenzen also hit a three-run shot, and the Cincinnati Reds beat Los Angeles 9-2 Friday night to snapped a nine-game losing streak against the Dodgers.

Tim Adleman pitched into and out of trouble in his first start since May 19 and added his first career hit and runs batted in as the Reds matched their season high with a fourth consecutive win and first against the Dodgers since Aug 13, 2015.

Adleman (2-1), who was sidelined with a strained left oblique, allowed five hits with two walks and three strikeouts in five scoreless innings. He also hit Joc Pederson twice with pitches.

The Dodgers were 0 for 8 with runners in scoring position against Adleman.

Bud Norris (6-10) gave up six runs and seven hits in 3 2/3 innings in his first start since July 31 due to a back strain
