Vikings Snap Counts: Pass protection holds up

They may have lost guard Brandon Fusco to a concussion midway through the fourth quarter, but for the second consecutive game the Minnesota Vikings' offensive line held up reasonably well against Jacksonville.

Fusco, Alex Boone, Nick Easton, T.J. Clemmings and Jeremiah Sirles (with a quick appearance by Willie Beavers) held the opposition without a sack for just the third time this season.

Quarterback Sam Bradford made the most of his improved line, throwing for 292 yards and a touchdown, his second-highest yardage totals of the season.

However, he wasn't the story for much of the game.

Vikings kicker Kai Forbath and Jaguars counterpart Jason Myers accounted for the first seven scores of the game, before the two teams combined for three touchdowns in the fourth quarter.

-- Bradford's 106.5 passer rating was his highest mark since the last win of the Vikings' 5-0 start, a 31-13 thrashing of the Houston Texans in which he threw for 271 yards and two touchdowns.

-- Beavers, a rookie tackle, got on the field for just the second time after playing eight snaps in the Vikings' most recent loss to the Lions.

-- After playing in three straight games, rookie receiver Laquon Treadwell was held out with an ankle injury.

-- Bradford's 8.6 yards per attempt was his third-highest of the season, boosted by three completions of more than 40 yards. Stefon Diggs hauled in a spectacular 45-yard catch, Kyle Rudolph added a 44-yard grab and Adam Thielen nabbed a 41-yarder.

-- Thielen led the Vikings with 101 receiving yards. It was just the second 100-yard game of his career, following his 127-yard outburst against the Texans in Week 5.

-- Running backs Matt Asiata and Jerick McKinnon accounted for just 68 rushing yards on a combined 25 carries, averaging just 2.72 yards per carry. Bradford added 17 rushing yards on four attempts.

-- Brian Robison summed up the team's devotion to head coach Mike Zimmer, who coached while wearing an eyepatch after undergoing surgery to repair a detached retina: "He puts his heart and soul into this team, so we knew that he would do everything he could to be here."
