Vikings add WR Charles Johnson
EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. -- The Vikings on Saturday added second-year receiver Charles Johnson to their 53-man roster.
Johnson comes to Minnesota from the Cleveland Browns' practice squad. Originally a seventh-round draft pick by Green bay in 2013, Johnson spent time under the tutelage of current Vikings offensive coordinator Norv Turner while in Cleveland last season. The 6-foot-2, 215-pounder was a Division II all-American as a collegian at Grand Valley State. He'll wear No. 12 for the Vikings.
The Vikings' roster has been in a state of flux this week, due to star running back Adrian Peterson being placed on the exempt list and the team releasing receiver Jerome Simpson.
