Ups and downs in Bengals' country

The Bengals on Wednesday afternoon placed rookie cornerback Brandon Ghee on injured reserve, pushing the total number of Cincinnati players on the season-ending list to 13.

Ghee, a third-round draft selection, has been out since Nov. 21, when he sustained a groin injury against Buffalo. He played in six games and ranks tied for third on the team in special-teams tackles with six.

He is the fifth Bengals defensive back to be placed on injured reserve this season, joining safeties Gibril Wilson and Chris Crocker and cornerbacks Trent Morgan and Adam Jones.
