UCLA freshman Shabazz Muhammad hurt his right shoulder during practice Wednesday and is awaiting results of an MRI exam to determine the extent of the injury.
The 6-foot-6 swingman out of Las Vegas is considered one of the top two freshmen in the nation and is part of a blue-chip recruiting class that has created buzz in college basketball.
Muhammad, who has not been cleared to play while the NCAA investigates his eligibility, had an MRI exam on Wednesday and should know the test results on Thursday.
Kyle Anderson, Tony Parker and Jordan Adams are the other three members of the Bruins' freshman class. Anderson is also awaiting word about his eligibility.
