Twins select contract of RHP Busenitz, designate Wilk for assignment
The Minnesota Twins designated Adam Wilk for assignment after the left-hander gave up six runs on eight hits in a 9-3 loss to the Cleveland Indians.
Right-hander Alan Busenitz will join the Twins in Wilk's place after his contract was selected by the Twins.
Busenitz has been effective in the minors, and has a 1.25 ERA through 29 1/3 innings for Triple-A Rochester.
Busenitz will be in uniform for the second game of the Twins' doubleheader Saturday night, and could make his major-league debut.
