Timberwolves sign Amile Jefferson to two-way contract

The Minnesota Timberwolves signed forward Amile Jefferson to a two-way contract, the team announced Monday.

In 22 games with the G League Iowa Wolves this season, Jefferson has 16 double-doubles and averages 18.0 points and a league-best 13.1 rebounds per game.

The 24-year-old was signed to a training camp contract by the Timberwolves in September but was waived Oct. 16.

Jefferson becomes the Timberwolves' second player to sign a two-way deal this season, joining Anthony Brown, who currently is Iowa's leading scorer with 20.7 points per game.
