Timberwolves fall to Oklahoma City in preseason play without starters
John Lucas III scored 18 points, and Adreian Payne added 16, but the Minnesota Timberwolves lost 112-94 in preseason play Sunday to the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Nemanja Bjelica and Tyus Jones each scored 11, and Cole Aldrich added 10 for the Timberwolves (3-2), who rested key players Ricky Rubio, Zach LaVine, Andrew Wiggins, Karl-Anthony Towns and Shabazz Muhammad.
Russell Westbrook led Oklahoma City with 26 points, while Steven Adams added 20.
Minnesota plays its second to last preseason game Wednesday, hosting Memphis at the Target Center.
