Thunder G Anthony Morrow suffers MCL sprain, out 4-6 weeks

It's been a rough preseason for the Thunder and now Oklahoma City is going to be without shooting guard Anthony Morrow four to six weeks after he sprained his MCL in practice Thursday, the team announced. Morrow will be re-evaluated next week.

Morrow was acquired via free agency and was expected to be the best shooter on the team. He is a career 43 percent shooter from 3-point range, by far the best percentage on the Thunder's roster.

Kevin Durant is going to be out at least another month while he recovers from a foot fracture. Reggie Jackson is dealing with a sprained wrist and Kendrick Perkins hasn't played any preseason games. Forward Nick Collison has also missed time this preseason with an injury, as has guard Jeremy Lamb.

Jackson, Lamb, Collison and Perkins should be available for the Thunder's first game Wednesday night at Portland.

Morrow, who was expected to be a contributor off the bench when was signed, was in consideration for the starting lineup after Durant's injury. Now, the injury to Morrow likely means a starting role for either Jeremy Lamb or Perry Jones and increased minutes for both.

Russell Westbrook, Morrow, Andre Roberson, Serge Ibaka and Steven Adams started the last three preseason games for the Thunder.
