Throwback Thursday: Reds pull off achievement for first time since '70s
Everything was rolling for the Cincinnati Reds Thursday night.
Though their season has gone much differently than the division-leading St. Louis Cardinals, it was the Reds who piled it on in an 11-0 victory.
That mark was a first for the Reds in more than four decades.
Brandon Phillips and Todd Frazier were the big stars of the night, each contributing three RBI. Pitcher John Lamb even got in on the act with his first career RBI.
With his 40th double, Frazier became only the fourth Reds player to have 40 doubles and 30 home runs in a season, joining Frank Robinson, Dave Parker, and Jay Bruce.
