This photo showing the undrafted Christian Wood is heartbreaking
Let's put outgoing UNLV sophomore Christian Wood's night in proper context.
The 6-foot-11, 216-pound power forward was excited for a momentous occasion in his life, began waiting, then waiting more, then waited a bit longer until the NBA Draft ended and he stopped waiting, left only to wonder:

(Photo by Joshua Dahl/Las Vegas Review-Journal). Projected by some to hear his name called late in the first round but more likely in the second, Wood averaged nearly a double-double for the Runnin' Rebels this past season (15.5 points, 9.8 rebounds).
He will almost certainly get scooped up as a free agent and onto a team's summer league roster. As of Friday morning, Wood's destination was not yet determined.
