Texas ready to go against Huskers, crowd in volleyball final

OMAHA, Neb. (AP) Texas and Nebraska will meet for the NCAA volleyball championship on Saturday night at the sold-out CenturyLink Center in Omaha.

Nebraska coach John Cook says he knows the home fans are going to be revved up for the match against the Cornhuskers' old Big 12 rival. Cook says people in Nebraska still get ''worked up'' about Texas even though the Huskers left for the Big Ten four years ago.

The third-seeded Longhorns (30-2) know the crowd will be hostile, and Big 12 player of the year Amy Neal is looking forward to it.

Texas reached the final with a semifinal win over Minnesota, and fourth-seeded Nebraska (31-4) advanced by beating Kansas.
