Texans sign No. 1 overall pick Jadeveon Clowney

The Houston Texans have locked up their No. 1 overall draft pick.

Jadeveon Clowney has agree to a four-year, $22.27 million contract with the team, according to the Houston Chronicle.

The deal also reportedly includes a fifth-year option and $14.52 million signing bonus.

South Carolina's former star defensive end will transition to outside linebacker under new Texans defensive Romeo Crennel's 3-4 scheme.

Clowney had 130 total tackles, 47 for a loss, 24 sacks, and nine forced fumbles during his three seasons with the Gamecocks.
