Tampa Bay Rays announce 2018 home spring training schedule

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- The Tampa Bay Rays home spring training schedule was released for 2018, the team’s 10th Grapefruit League season at Charlotte Sports Park. The Rays are scheduled to play 14 spring training home games at Charlotte Sports Park, beginning on Friday, February 23 against the Pittsburgh Pirates. All home games at Charlotte Sports Park begin at 1:05 p.m. The spring training schedule will conclude with the Rays hosting the Detroit Tigers in an exhibition game at Tropicana Field on Tuesday, March 27 at 12:35 p.m.

The first workout for pitchers and catchers is scheduled for Wednesday, February 14. The first full-squad workout is scheduled for Monday, February 19.
The day of the spring opener, February 23, will be a split-squad day, with a road game scheduled in Sarasota against the Baltimore Orioles. The full schedule of road games for 2018 spring training will be released at a later date. Single Game Tickets: Single game tickets will go on sale on Friday, January 12 at 10 a.m. exclusively through raysbaseball.com/spring. Tickets will be available at the Charlotte Sports Park box office beginning at 10 a.m. on Saturday, January 13.
