Sweden adds Blues' Berglund to World Cup roster

Team Sweden has added Blues forward Patrik Berglund to its roster for the World Cup of Hockey.

Berglund replaces Ducks forward Rickard Rakell, who has been hospitalized in Gothenburg, Sweden, with an unspecified illness, according to The Associated Press.

Berglund gives the Blues eight players in the tournament: defensemen Alex Pietrangelo (Canada), Jay Bouwmeester (Canada) and Colton Parayko (North America) and forwards Vladimir Tarasenko (Russia), Jori Lehtera (Finland), Dmitrij Jaskin (Czech Republic) and Vladimir Sobotka (Czech Republic).

Teams have been playing preliminary games, and round-robin tournament games begin Wednesday.
