Swanson latest draft pick to sign with Lions
Less than two weeks since the NFL Draft, the Detroit Lions have now signed six of their eight picks.
The latest to reach a deal is third-round selection Travis Swanson, a 6-foot-5, 312-pound offensive lineman from Arkansas. Swanson, who has been working at both center and guard during the Lions' off-season practices, confirmed the agreement with a photo of him signing the contract posted Thursday afternoon on Instagram.
"I am officially a Lion!!" Swanson wrote.
The only two draft picks who haven't signed yet are the team's top two selections -- tight end Eric Ebron and linebacker Kyle Van Noy -- both of whom are still participating in practices and workouts.
