Survey: Romo is seventh most-disliked NFL player

Tony Romo doesn't say or do anything controversial. He keeps to himself, works hard and goes about his business. Yet, Romo apparently can't catch a break with the fans.

According to a recent Forbes.com story, the Dallas Cowboys quarterback is the seventh most-disliked player in the NFL.

Romo has never served time in prison. He also hasn't stomped on an opposing player or been accused of sexual assault.

And to my knowledge, he's never had a fake girlfriend. (I guess that makes people dislike you.)

Has he thrown a few costly interceptions? Yes. But is that really a reason to dislike the guy?

The top 10 list included seven quarterbacks and was topped by Philadelphia's Michael Vick. Surprisingly, New England's Tom Brady came in one spot behind Romo. (The Brady vote has to be from folks who are simply jealous.)

Here's the top 10: Vick, Manti Te'o, Ndamukong Suh, Ben Roethlisberger, Mark Sanchez, Jay Cutler, Romo, Brady, Carson Palmer and Reggie Bush.

Forbes says the survey was conducted by E-Poll Market Research, a company that measures public opinion of thousands of celebrities based on likeability, awareness, confidence and many other attributes.

Maybe the "other attributes" includes being a nice guy who quarterbacks a team that hasn't had much playoff success since winning three Super Bowls in the 1990s.
