StaTuesday: Bucks foursome can pull off rare feat
The Milwaukee Bucks like to tout the trio of Giannis Antetokounmpo, Eric Bledsoe and Khris Middleton as the "Marquee Three."
Although he's sidelined with an injury, we shouldn't forget about Malcolm Brogdon as well in that group.
All four of those players are averaging 10+ points, 3+ rebounds and 3+ assists with the Bucks this season.
If you think that's no big deal, you'd be wrong.
A team has had four players accomplish that feat in a season just four other times over the past 25 seasons and the last time occurred seven years ago.
The one caveat is in the previous four instances, all four players appeared in at least 70 percent of their team's games. Brogdon would need to play in 12 more games to reach that percentage. Since he's out until April, that's not going to happen. But he needs to play in four games (well, 3.2 to be exact) to reach 60 percent -- and, well, no other team besides those listed has done that either.
Brogdon, of course, would also have to keep up his averages. The other three Bucks seem pretty safe to hit those marks.
2017-18 Bucks
| Player | PPG | RPG | APG |
| Giannis Antetokounmpo | 27.9 | 10.3 | 4.7 |
| Khris Middleton | 20.0 | 5.3 | 4.2 |
| Eric Bledsoe | 17.1 | 3.7 | 4.4 |
| Malcolm Brogdon | 13.3 | 3.3 | 3.2 |
Milwaukee is the only of the foursomes to have two players scoring 20+ points and the only one with someone averaging double-digit rebounds.
The previous four:
2010-11 Warriors
| Player | PPG | RPG | APG |
| Monta Ellis | 24.1 | 3.5 | 5.6 |
| Dorell Wright | 16.4 | 5.3 | 3.0 |

| Stephen Curry | 18.6 | 3.9 | 5.8 |
2009-10 Lakers

| Kobe Bryant | 27.0 | 5.4 | 5.0 |

| Lamar Odom | 10.8 | 9.8 | 3.3 |
2007-08 Celtics
| Player | PPG | RPG | APG |
| Ray Allen | 17.4 | 3.7 | 3.1 |
| Paul Pierce | 19.6 | 5.1 | 4.5 |
| Kevin Garnett | 18.8 | 9.2 | 3.4 |
| Rajon Rondo | 10.6 | 4.2 | 5.1 |
1993-94 Warriors
| Player | PPG | RPG | APG |
| Latrell Sprewell | 21.0 | 4.9 | 4.7 |
| Chris Mullin | 16.8 | 5.6 | 5.1 |
| Billy Owens | 15.0 | 8.1 | 4.1 |
| Chris Webber | 17.5 | 9.1 | 3.6 |
One final note: three of the previous four teams won 50+ games, with only the 2010-11 Golden State team failing to do so … but that team was opening the door for future success.
Both Boston and Los Angeles won the NBA Finals in their seasons.
