Spurs picked to repeat as NBA champions in GM survey

The San Antonio Spurs are the favorites to repeat as champions in NBA.com's survey of the league's general managers.

LeBron James' return to Cleveland with a talented cast has the Cavaliers expected to win the Eastern Conference, but they come in second in the poll to the Spurs for the NBA crown, who earned 46.2 percent of the votes.

Tim Duncan has been the face of one of the most successful franchises in NBA history, but the only thing missing from his resume is back-to-back championships.

James was an overwhelming favorite to take back the league MVP title from Kevin Durant.

While it was no surprise that both superstars are atop the list of "players to start a franchise with," Pelicans' Anthony Davis tied with Durant at No. 2 in the survey with 25 percent.
