Sprinklers go off, interrupt Sporting KC-Colorado game
The field at Sporting Park got its soak earlier than scheduled on Saturday.
During the 47th minute of a 1-0 game between Sporting Kansas City and the Colorado Rapids, the sprinklers suddenly sprang into action. Check it out in the video above (:28 mark)
Rapids forward Luis Solignac might have gotten the worst of it. At 6 feet, his head was right in the line of fire, forcing him to quickly duck out of the way. Then, opposing forward Dom Dwyer decided to have some fun at an unsuspecting Solignac's expense, turning a sprinkler head in his direction.
The incident left the Rapids searching for answers:
Ok, who turned the sprinklers on? #SKCvCOL pic.twitter.com/I3YU3Zf1fU

Sporting KC had a reasonable explanation:

This likely won't be a night fans and players will soon forget.
