Spencer Hawes may be new to the Clippers, but he isn't new to the NBA, that's for sure. After being drafted in 2007, the star Forward-Center from the University of Washington was a key asset to the Sacramento Kings, the Philadelphia 76ers, and the Cleveland Cavaliers before joining the Clippers in July of this year. In his eighth season, he has made a major impact for the Clippers, averaging 6.8 points in each of the 17 games he's played with the team. Some say that Spencer's talent for basketball is in his blood! Both his father and uncle played basketball for the University of Washington.

When he's not shooting hoops on the court, Spencer enjoys supporting his hometown of Seattle by watching Seahawks and Mariners games. He was even present for the Seahawks' Super Bowl Victory last year! Hawes is also very active on his social media accounts and stays up to date with politics. During this past Election Day, he tweeted to his followers encouraging them to go vote.
