Sooners to continue 'striping' tradition Saturday against West Virginia

Oklahoma is continuing its tradition of striping the stadium with this Saturday's game against West Virginia.

The Sooners did it for the first time at Memorial Stadium back in 2012 when Notre Dame came to town for an October game. OU did it again in 2013 for West Virginia and then again last year with Tennessee.

And it will happen this Saturday when West Virginia comes back to town.

This will be the first time OU hasn't done the promotion for a night game. Kickoff against West Virginia Saturday is at 11 a.m.

Oklahoma athletic director Joe Castiglione said he likes to plan the event in September when it's not as cold outside making it easier for fans to find the appropriate  gear to wear.
