Sooners CB Johnson suspended one game

NORMAN, Okla. -- Cortez Johnson, who is expected to be a starting cornerback for Oklahoma, will miss theSooners' season opener against Louisiana-Monroe on Aug. 31 after violating team rules, according to a source close to the team.

Johnson, who sat out last season after transferring from Arizona, last played in 2011 for then Arizona coach Mike Stoops. Stoops is now the defensive coordinator for OU.

Johnson started two games as a freshman at Arizona. He is expected to start opposite senior Aaron Colvin. He spent last season at OU working with the scout team.

Defensive tackle Chuka Ndulue is also expected to be suspended for the game against Monroe. Ndulue was arrested in July on a DUI complaint.
