SOCHI SCENE: Injured skier

KRASNAYA POLYANA, Russia (AP) Russian freestyle officials say skicross racer Maria Komissarova sustained a ''serious'' injury in Olympic training and was taken to a nearby hospital for surgery.

The 23-year-old skier won't compete next week, the Russian freestyle federation said in a statement Saturday. The statement called the injury ''serious'' but did not disclose the nature of the injury.
