SMU walk-ons surprised with scholarships after coach's prank

Every walk-on college football player dreams of being awarded a scholarship. SMU football coach Chad Morris made the granting of full-rides to walk-ons Garrett Krstich and Jackson Mitchell just a little more memorable.

Before announcing the scholarships for Krstich, a senior quarterback, and Mitchell, a junior linebacker, Morris made them sweat a little. He created a ruse about his coaching office being broken into, just to create some tension before surprising the players with the good news.

The joyous reaction of Krstich and Mitchell's teammates, and their calls to their parents, are even better than the prank.
