Sizemore getting knee checked
CLEVELAND
(AP) -- Indians outfielder Grady Sizemore is undergoing an MRI on his
right knee after jamming while sliding into second base.
It is not the same knee Sizemore had microfracture surgery on last season.
Sizemore hurt his knee in the sixth
inning on Tuesday night but stayed in for the rest of Cleveland's 5-4
victory over Tampa Bay, the Indians' 14th straight home win. Manager
Manny Acta said Sizemore's knee was sore on Wednesday and the club
decided to have him checked out "for peace of mind."
Acta said the Indians' medical staff does not believe the injury is serious.
A three-time All-star, Sizemore played in just 33 games last season before having left knee surgery in June.
