She Be Wild wins Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies
Ridden by Julien Leparoux, She Be Wild covered 1 1/16 miles in 1:43.80 on Friday at Santa Anita and paid $16.80, $9 and $5. At 7-1 odds, She Be Wild pulled off the third consecutive upset on the first day of the world championships.
Beautician returned $9.40 and $6, while Blind Luck was another head back in third and paid $3 to show as the 7-2 wagering favorite.
She Be Wild improved to four wins in five races on synthetic surfaces.
It was trainer Wayne Catalano's second career Breeders' Cup victory, and the third for Leparoux.
