SC's Ingram, Gilmore, Jeffery work out for NFL

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) -- South Carolina standouts Melvin Ingram, Stephon Gilmore and Alshon Jeffery have worked out for about two dozen NFL personnel at the Gamecocks' stadium.

Ingram is a defensive end and Gilmore a cornerback, both are projected as first-round selections in next month's NFL draft.

Jeffery was the Gamecocks star receiver who looked like a top five pick when last season began but has dropped from many first-round projections. His production dipped from his sophomore to junior years.

Jeffery finally ran the 40-yard dash Wednesday, something he did not do last month at the Indianapolis combine. Jeffery says he didn't know what time he posted, although several posts on Twitter from scouting services pegged him in the 4.5-second range.

Jeffery also caught passes from dismissed Gamecocks quarterback Stephen Garcia.
