Sanchez wins weekly honor again
Oklahoma junior cornerback Zack Sanchez won the league's Defensive Player of the Week honor for the third time this season, the Big 12 announced Monday.
Sanchez had two interceptions against TCU and now has six for the season. He had four tackles and also a pass break-up. TCU had 390 yards of total offense which is 218 below their season average.
Sanchez has 14 career interceptions, which is sixth-most in Sooner history and he has five in the past three games.
Only former linebacker Rocky Calmus has as many Player of the Week honors as Sanchez, who earned the fourth of his career.
